Estate Sales require diverse fields of expertise. Janelle Stone has a strong academic background that makes her uniquely qualified as an expert Estate Liquidator.

After completing her BFA in Fashion Merchandising at Baylor University in 1981, Janelle continued her studies in Interior design at Houston Community College. Her emphasis was Antiques and Period Furniture. Realizing appraisals were a large part of estate liquidation business, Janelle received her accreditation from the University of Maryland University College through the International Society of Appraisers program in 1998. She was Accredited Member of International Society of appraisers for 12 years. In 2010, she became an Independent Appraiser, specializing in Verbal Approximations of Value.

Janelle has contributed to antiques, collectibles, furniture and online publications throughout the years. She has an extensive hard-copy and online research database. She also lectures and speaks about antiques and collectibles and about the estate sale process.

Professional Background

Janelle Stone has nearly 30 years of estate liquidation experience. She is the Owner and President of Janelle Stone Estate Services. She was also a dealer in American and Continental antiques for many years.

Janelle was the former Editor and Monthly Feature Contributor for Antiques Prime Magazine. She has been featured on WFAA/Channel 8 and Fox 4 News in Dallas as an antiques expert. She has also been chosen several times to represent large clients as an expert appraiser for Appraisal Fairs. Her company has been approached numerous times about hosting an Estate Liquidation series on television.  Janelle also lectures on antiques, collecting and interior design. She offers private client education and consultation and procurement of rare furniture, ceramics, art and jewelry.
